The books are officially closed for the 13th Batch of Missionary Interns who have gone through the CAMPUS one-year flagship program.  Nearly 100 young people have now completed the internship, which was first launched in 1999 at the University of Michigan.  On many levels, this year was different.  First, it was the first program to take place in East Lansing, the new CAMPUS Headquarters.  Secondly, it was run in conjunction with UCHURCH — the East Lansing University Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Additionally, part of the program was run in conjunction with the newly launched Ministerial Residency which provided different dynamics for interns and residents alike.

The graduation and farewell took place at a local fusion restaurant.  Handmade bow ties featuring CAMPUS red, white, and black colors were provided by Tamara Conway for the special occasion.  Women were given scarves.  The meal included vegetarian sushi and a fresh vegetable and tofu dish.  Parents and special invited guests were given an overview of the program and the personal journey of the missionaries as well as a final charge by Pastor Andy Im, CAMPUS Associate Director and Director of Bonders.

Finally, the program concluded with a special prayer given by Elder Justin Kim, CAMPUS Associate Director and Director of Michigan Sabbath School/Communications.  A photo session with friends and loved ones was the icing on the cake for an incredible evening reflecting and valuing the lives of these two missionaries.

The Ministerial Residents end their program in Houghton, MI on the first Sabbath in May.
