THE CENTER FOR ADVENTIST MINISTRY TO PUBLIC UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Israel Ramos is an ordained minister and the Director of the Public Campus Ministries Department for the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Michigan Headquarters. He has more than 15 years of experience in public campus ministry, serving as a missionary at the University of Michigan, a pastor for the Michigan Tech University community, and the director of the Missionary Training Program. His undergraduate educational background includes: religion, education, and pastoral evangelism. Currently he is pursuing an MA from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He helped found the GYC movement, LEADS conferences, and uchurch in the Houghton, MI community. He lives in Michigan with his wife Judy and three young boys: Manu, Micah, and Ty.
CAMPUS is the CENTER for ADVENTIST MINISTRY to PUBLIC UNIVERSITY STUDENTS located in East Lansing, MI next to uchurch. The CAMPUS headquarters houses the GYC office. GYC, formerly known as the General Youth Conference, was birthed in Michigan and is a grassroots movement of young people in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Bonders — a leadership alliance ministry is also headquartered on our campus, serving as a partner ministry for the families of CAMPUS graduates and young professionals. CAMPUS is a division of the Department of Public Campus Ministry for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Michigan. It oversees the thirteen major colleges and universities in the state of Michigan as well as ministry on community colleges. Our goal is a Bible-based revival movement in which every student is a missionary.
